My Journey Begins!
I have started a program called Shakeology. It comes with workout discs and a shake mix. I picked the chocolate and can say it actually tastes like chocolate! I will post on here daily what I am doing and how far I feel I am coming with the program. I will not be posting weight loss though. I made a promise to my Awesome Coach that I wouldn't weigh myself until my frist 30 days on the program are complete. She actually told me to toss the scale all together, but I just can't bear doing that. I want to see some sort of progress. I just won't do it regularly. At the end of thirty days I will evaluate my experience and decide whether to continue or not.
So to start with my workouts... today I began with the 30 minute workout. It kicked my butt. I worked through the whole thing though and felt accomplished. I also went for a 60 minute walk/jog at the park. I will be doing the walk/jog everyday. The program wants you to work out everyday but only use their discs three of those days. I have decided that on the days I don't use the discs I will walk/jog 60 minutes and do an ab workout on my Ball. So much fun! I feel great though and can't wait to see the results. I have every confidence that there will be positive results!
A quick review of the shake... It tastes good. I like that it tastes like chocolate because it is already working on that one craving. I feel like I start my day with a chocolate shake. I add fruit if I want a different taste but it is good without.
Thanks for reading!

Walking Companion
I went for a walk yesterday and was joined by a very delicate companion. A beautiful butterfly fluttered alongside me for quit a long time. I was so amazed. I felt like I had a walking companion for a short while. I started thinking about how much I miss when I am so busy rushing around. If I hadn't decided to observe my surroundings I probably would not have noticed this delicate creature by my side. How many of us go through life without noticing the small things that surround us? It was a little humbling to think about the life cycle of this butterfly and wondering if it had the capacity to understand it is here for such a short time. In the big picture we are all here for such a short time. It isn't often I get all philosophical but when I do I really get into it. I walked for an hour yesterday and couldn't help but reflect on my life. My children were playing happily in the park while I mentally turned inwards to examine my life choices. Isn't it so easy to point your finger at things to blame for the mistakes you have made, the choices you regret? In the end the you realize that they were still the choices you made, not someone else and not some outside influence. I chose to be where I am today. I love my husband, children, friends and family but regret a lot of the choices that came before them. I think inwardly I am disgusted with myself. That may be the whole issue with why I am so self destructive. I know what I want, how to go about getting it but still I don't always do it. How many of us do this? I know I deserve better, I deserve to be happy so why don't I do what needs to be done to have it? Something I need to think about some more. So, in my next blog maybe I will have more! LOL!

Busy day!
Today will be a busy one. I am going to take Isaiah to the park and walk. They just repaved it so the path is nice and even. Then I was thinking I might tackle some more house chores. I know the excitement is killing you but wait there is more! After the house chores are finished I was thinking we might eat lunch and then lay down for a nap! Well, at least Isaiah will get a nap. For those of you that talk to me regularly, you know that we are looking for a place to live. Well, I think we might have found a place. It would mean taking the kids to school but at least it is a nice house and the rent is only 10 dollars more than what we pay now. I am just waiting to hear back from the owner. He would like to meet with us before discussing anything further. I will keep you updated. Well, time to get moving. I have been up for 2 hours and have only accomplished making a bigger dent in the couch! LOL!

A regular day...
Good Evening fellow bloggers! So today was an average day. I woke up at 6 am to feed and water the animals before packing them and sending them on their way! LOL! My crazy crew is often disorganized and choatic. This morning was no different. As we rushed around looking for socks, shoes, homework and heads... we groused and grumbled about how early it was! Finally off to school, leaving Isaiah, Ryan and myself in a quiet house, I coudln't decide what was better, feeling the fullness of a busy, crazy, and often loud family surrounding me or the peace and quiet of an empty home. I am often torn! I love my boys but crave the peace and quiet their absence brings. With this passing thought racing through my mind I decided that today I would try to get back into a walking routine. This meant getting my stubborn three year old to cooperate. He hates giving up his cartoons in the morning. After convincing him it is a beautiful day out and he will like riding in the stroller we finally got out and on our way. One whole hour of walking and listening to my favorite songs on my ipod. I took a few pictures but have not loaded them on here yet. Then back to the house for a shower and lunch! Nothing eventful to report. The boys are home soon and we are back to the craziness that defines my life! Quickly, homework, soccer uniforms, snacks, waters pack up and leave! Game night! A great game for Ryan and Nolan. They played well and I was able to distract myself by talking with a new acquintance! Oh the wonderful getting to know you stage! LOL! Very nice lady and I hope to talk with her again sometime. Game over and on our way to Back to School night at the elementary school! Really? What is the point of this torturous evening of finding a parking spot, weaving in and around a crowd of clueless parents all wanting a couple minutes of the teacher's time just to hear her/him profess how much they love having your child in their class? I always feel like I have to wait in line to speak to them so they know I care. It is so pointless to me. I much rather prefer a one on one conversation where the teacher can focus on my child. It is fun for the boys though. I get pulled in two different directions while they point out all the stuff they did for this evening. Still, I smile and oooohh and ahhhh in all the appropriate ways. My boys beaming with pride! So in the end I guess it is worth it! Just to see the smile on their faces.
We end the evening with tired grouchy kids telling me they aren't tired and grouchy and don't want to go to bed. Showers, Pj's, goodnight hugs and kisses and again the house seems to give a huge sigh! Until tomorrow! Goodnight my friends!
